    WHAT THE QUEEF?

    @munroe_your_boat

    Article - What the queef?

    Queefing. Also known as one of the most unpleasant and awkward experiences that happen in the most intimate moments. We’re here to give you a breakdown of what it means to let out a “vagina fart” and why it’s totally normal for anyone with a V.

    WHAT IS A QUEEF?

    The first thing to note is that a queef is not the same as a fart. When you fart, you are letting out gas that comes from your stomach. A queef, on the other hand, isn’t letting out anything other than air. Once this air releases, whether it be from sneezing or having sex, it will let out a “POOT”.

    WHEN DOES IT HAPPEN?

    Most of the time, queefs make an appearance during sexual intercourse. Usually changing positions too quickly can cause a queef. But it’s not just that either! Basically, any activity that can invite air into the vagina is going to make your V rip. Some of these activities are exercise (like jumping jacks or crunches), coughing and sneezing.

    SHOULD I BE WORRIED?

    YES. Just kidding, it’s actually so normal. It’s natural, it’s embarrassing, it’s hilarious, it’s real. There’s not an official way to prevent queefs from happening. So when it does happen, don’t stress too much. No matter how old we get, hearing fart noises will always be a little funny so laugh it off and carry on with your business as usual.
