Ready for some self-care without breaking the bank? Not to worry - these DIY face masks will complete your spa night. And the good news? You probably have most of the ingredients already in your kitchen. Feel free to combine any of these all-natural solutions into a more sophisticated mask.
Inflamed, irritated skin? Oatmeal mask.
Oatmeal is great for calming and softening the skin. Mix plain oats (no sugars or flavors) and water. Let sit on your skin for 10+ minutes and massage into skin before rinsing off.
Fight acne with honey.
Honey’s antibacterial properties fight against acne. Simply apply raw honey to the skin, and let sit. When your skin starts to feel tight, rinse off the mask.
Or, fight acne with yogurt.
All-natural yogurt contains AHAs, which is an ingredient that helps get rid of any gunk in your pores. Also, yogurt is antibacterial. Be sure to use plain yogurt with no sugar added to get the best effect!
Feeling dry? Avocado.
Half an avocado will do the trick! The natural oils in avocado will hydrate and plump your skin, as well as smooth any cracks from dryness.
Bentonite clay for oily skin.
Bentonite clay sucks up any excess oil for your skin, which will fight against future breakouts. Bentonite clay can be found at many health stores; just mix it up with some water and you’re good to go.
